Lucien Denny

Lucien about his class: “I’m always trying to find the essence of movement and enjoyment in the dancers. I work with powerfull movements and musicality is a big part of my class. A lot of people say I’m the cofounder of urban contemporary, but I don’t want to claim that name: that’s why I created my own style LUFU!”

Bio
Lucien Denny, born on August 30th 1982, has a background in hiphop and a bachelor degree Jazz/Musical at AHK Amsterdam (2008). Through time Lucien developed his own style which he calls “Lufu”, the combination of his first name and kung fu, which he is inspired by. The meaning of “lufu” is also intense love in the old English dictionary. Lucien combines different elements of style in dance and martial arts, but especially movement from inspiration out of life itself.
