Season ’26/’27 Conny Janssen Danst

In the new season, Conny Janssen Danst returns to theatres across the Netherlands with two brand-new productions: DANSLOKAAL 14, the company’s talent development project, and BEHIND THE WALL, a new large-scale dance production featuring live music by the cutting-edge artist Roufaida.

What does the future hold for Dutch dance? That’s what you discover in DANSLOKAAL: Conny Janssen Danst’s annual talent hub, where talented makers are invited to develop new work with the dancers of the Rotterdam company.

For each event artistic director Conny Janssen selects promising choreographers with diverse backgrounds in collaboration with Dansateliers and Korzo. The contributors to DANSLOKAAL 14 are:

  • Maciej Kuźmiński (Conny Janssen Danst)

    • The DANSLOKAAL 14 tour kicks off on 17 September 2026 at HUIS Conny Janssen Danst in Rotterdam. The production will then tour theatres across the Netherlands until 31 October 2026.

    BEHIND THE WALL

    The new large-scale dance production by Conny Janssen raises topical questions about identity, belonging and loss. Together with live music by the cutting-edge artist Roufaida, in BEHIND THE WALL a compelling journey emerges on what it means to feel at home somewhere – and what happens when this home changes or disappears.

    BEHIND THE WALL, builds on the universe Conny Janssen created in her earlier production HOME (2017/2021), in which the question of where and with whom we feel at home is pivotal.

    BEHIND THE WALL premieres on Friday, 22 January 2027, after which the production will tour theatres across the Netherlands until Sunday, 11 April 2027.
