Are you a dedicated dancer and do you want to get an intensive introduction to the repertoire of Conny Janssen? Do you have at least 5 years of dance experience – preferably ballet, modern, and/or urban – and are you 16 years or older? Are the Saturday (+1 Sunday) mornings in the autumn of 2026 still free in your schedule? 4x YES? Read on: starting September 12, Conny Janssen Danst is offering a new repertoire course. This time, the 2005 production Manoeuvres serves as the starting point for the course.
From September 12 to October 24, 2026, HUIS Conny Janssen Danst is offering a repertoire course in which you will work towards your own short version of ‘Manoeuvres’ over 6 rehearsals. With teacher and dancer Laura Costa, you will work in the Conny Janssen Danst studio using material and the working methods of the production. You will also create your own scenes and learn from the creative contributions of your fellow students. During one of the final rehearsals, choreographer Conny Janssen or one of the dancers from the 2026 cast will prepare you for the performance evening.
Performance
You will perform the result of this repertoire course on Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2026, in the theater studio of HUIS Conny Janssen Danst, for which you can invite your own audience.

What is included in the course price?
- A link to view the video recording of Manoeuvres from 2015;
- 6 x lessons for creation and rehearsal in the beautiful dance studio at HUIS Conny Janssen Danst;
- Intensive guidance, targeted creation assignments, and the teaching of existing dance material from Manoeuvres by teacher and dancer Laura Costa;
- Conny Janssen or a dancer from the current Manoeuvres cast (2026) will visit during the final rehearsal to put the finishing touches on everything;
- A professional photographer will take photos of the dress rehearsal, which you will receive digitally for your own use;
- The opportunity to invite family and friends (for a small fee) to attend your performance on Saturday, October 24;
- A meet & greet with the dancers of Conny Janssen Danst where you can talk to them about the life of a dancer;
- A link to view the video recording of your own performance after the project is completed.
About the performance Manoeuvres
Conny Janssen originally created Manoeuvres for the 15th anniversary of De Parade. Now, twenty years later, the festive crowd favorite returns to the traveling theater festival in a renewed version. The performance was also performed in an adapted version earlier this year in Introdans’ ‘Hubclub ’26’ program.
In Manoeuvres, we observe four characters in their desire to escape the daily grind. Two men and two women, entangled in a game of diversionary tactics, fight for attention. A tongue-in-cheek performance about dreams, seduction, and the little pick-me-ups that get us through our workdays.
