About the film
Conny Janssen, dancers, the artistic team and Maarten Vos made a special film version of HOME together with filmmaker Davide Bellotta during the lockdown of early ’22 in Theater aan de Schie (which wasn’t accesible for visitors). Get close to dancers and cellists and experience in a new way how people are looking for what connects them in HOME.

About the performance
HOME is a renewed version of the successful performance from 2017 and revolves around the question of what ‘home’ means. It is often more than stones, more than a physical space. What makes you feel at home, where are you at home? Is it a place, the people around you, or is it a sense of belonging?
With the corona pandemic, the concept of ‘home’ takes on a new meaning and the performance is even more topical than ever.
Music
During the HOME tour, the live music was alternately played by Maarten Vos and Karel Bredenhorst. In the film we see Maarten Vos on cello. Maarten Vos, together with Michel Banabila, is also responsible for the musical compositions.
