From 13 to 24 June 2023, the first edition of the SummerDance Intensive took place in HUIS Conny Janssen Danst. Young dancers from all over the world traveled to Rotterdam and, spread over two intensive weeks, joined a nice program full of classical and modern lessons, repertoire studies by Conny Janssen Danst and workshops by very diverse guest choreographers. In addition, during the week they worked on their own solo: with input from the dancers of Conny Janssen Danst and supervised by Conny Janssen, the participants closed the week with the presentation of their self-created dance.
This SummerDance Intensive is a new step for Conny Janssen Danst in developing HUIS Conny Janssen Danst: a vibrant house for dance in Rotterdam, where talent development, sharing knowledge and creating a meeting space are central.
