11 & 12 March ’23: Workshop Danae & Dionysios

The choreographers

Since 2015 Danae and Dionysios have been collaborating and so far they have created together four productions, “UNCIA”, “ATMA”, “Free At Last : Rerooted” and “Valley of the Hummingbirds”. They have won several awards, such as the RIDCC, and collaborated with theatres and festivals like Onassis Foundation, Theater Rotterdam, Staatstheater Braunschweig and more.

About the workshop

Beginning with a warm-up structured around Danae & Dionysios’ vocabulary, participants will explore their own creativity based on tasks focusing on the details of the hands and their expressiveness, the connection of their feet to the ground and the ways information can travel from there to the upper body and the arms, in order to achieve bigger volume in space. The workshop will then develop into learning choreographic phrases from their latest work “Fάrιsa”.
