Tycho Hupperets

Tycho’s class usually starts with a steady built up of the body’s foundations; feet, legs and overall ‘grounding’. The overall body opens up for the rest of the day. In the class, Tycho tries to juxtapose the regular and irregular, soft and hard and towards the centre, attempt to erase the borders that have been set up at the barre. “The swing kicks in towards the turns and jumps!”

Tycho recently graduated from the Rietveld Art Academy in Fine Arts. He is based in Amsterdam. He regularly teaches, among others, at Henny Jurriens Studio, ICK Dans Amsterdam and Codarts. He was a dancer for Dutch National Ballet, Origen Festival, Nacera Belaza and more.
