Bio:
Federica Dadamo trained as a professional ballet dancer first in Italy then in Amsterdam, where she graduated at the National Ballet Academy. During her career she has been dancing a wide range of classical and modern ballet repertoire as well as new choreographic works, with companies such as the Italian Cosi -Stefanescu Ballet Company, the Dutch National Ballet, International Dans Theater in Amsterdam, De Dutch Don’t Dance Division in The Hague. She performed for Nederlandse Dans Dagen in Maastricht and Holland Dance Festival, in choreographies by J. Kylian and H. van Manen, for NDT’s 50 Years anniversary- young dancers tour program. Her curiosity towards different art forms and her will of becoming a versatile dancer, have enriched her ballet technique with various modern dance experiences including Gaga classes, improvisation, contact improvisation and choreographic composition. She has enjoyed working with single choreographers and different artists, performing and at times co-creating for concerts, art & museum festivals, movie projects, and art installations (Big River Festival Dordrecht, Nederland Film Festival, Museumnight, J. Godani’s art installation Extinction of a Minor Species in Dresden etc.). In June 2018 she obtained a master’s degree in Dance Pedagogy at the Palucca Dance University in Dresden, specializing and working as a ballet master and as a dance pedagogue. In 2018 she joined Gauthier Dance in Stuttgart as a ballet master and choreographer assistant to works by Ed Wubbe, Marco Goecke, Hofesh Shechter, Ohad Naharin, Cayetano Soto, Club Guy and Rony, Mauro Bigonzetti, etc. Since 2019 she is back in the Netherlands as ballet master and choreographer assistant with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, where she has been staging and taking care of works by Ed Wubbe, Marcos Morau, Justin de Jager a. o.
