Conny Janssen Danst is looking for a HUISkracht (m/f/x) for HUIS Conny Janssen Danst. As a HUISkracht, you will be present in the building and support a variety of activities: from workshops for professional dancers to rentals to external parties. You ensure that guests feel welcome and that everything runs smoothly during an activity. You receive people and help them find their way.
Tasks
- Opening and closing the building.
- Welcoming guests and tenants and showing them around.
- Preparing studios and other spaces for use and keeping them tidy.
- Ensuring ready-to-use coffee and tea facilities.
- Being available to answer (practical) questions.
- You don’t need to be a technical expert, but it is helpful if you eventually become familiar with the sound and lighting systems in the studios and the general facilities in the building.
- Ensuring that escape routes and emergency exits remain clear.
- Reporting any irregularities and reporting them back to the team.
About you
- You are hospitable, friendly, and independent.
- You live in (the region of) Rotterdam.
- You have an affinity for dance, art, and culture.
- You have flexible availability: for example, one fixed evening per week and occasionally on an on-call basis (often in the evening or on weekends).
- You have an average to good command of English (many tenants are international).
- You enjoy being part of a creative home.

- As a HUISkracht, you represent the HUIS and the Conny Janssen Danst company.
- Heavy physical work is not part of the job.
- If there is something you cannot resolve during a shift, there is always someone from Conny Janssen Danst you can call.
- For certain activities, it is required that a First Aid Responder (BHV) is present in the building. Therefore, we offer BHV training at the expense of Conny Janssen Danst.
