Dansateliers, één van de creatieve partners in DANSLOKAAL 2 & ROTTERDAMSE LENTE #2, schoof de Spaanse choreografe Roser López Espinoza naar voren voor de 2e editie van dit talentontwikkelingsproject. She develops her work as a choreographer since 2006 with works like The lizard’s skin, Còncau, Miniatura, Before we fall, which have won international recognition with awards at Masdanza (1st Solo Prize) and at the Burgos-NY and Madrid choreography competitions. Miniatura is as well selected for the Aerowaves European tour. In 2012 she presents the piece Stranger and Stranger at Festival Grec in Barcelona, within the projetc Bcn_Montréal. In 2014 she premieres Lowland in coproduction with theater Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona and the support of Dansateliers in Rotterdam and Melkweg Theater in Amsterdam. Her works have been programmed at international dance festivals around Europe as well as in Egypt, Canada, Argentina, Panama and Japan. Roser: 'I am fascinated by the imagination and the versatility of the body. I work with the idea that the body is full of landscapes, because the movement palette and the possible physical imaginaries are endless. So for or each project I very much enjoy thinking: what is this piece about? And try to bring what makes it singular out.
